Without doubt the best experience we’ve ever encountered. Never having been on a safari before any apprehension we had disappeared on our first game drive. Rob’s friendly and easy manner soon won us over and his knowledge, enthusiasm and respect for the bush is amazing. The wildlife we viewed was unbelievable and the variety of game is just too long to mention. We will never know how Rob spotted a pair of cheetahs which must have been a mile away and lying in long grass. Although the highlight had to be an event that is rarely witnessed which was the pack of wild dogs and the “kill” of a kudu. Fascinating!
Another bonus was Rob’s intense passion for birdlife and it was not too long before that passion rubbed off on us and we were just as excited when we spotted the white-headed vulture, one of Botswana’s protected species. Overall, a memorable experience and it will not be too long before we are back in the bush again with Rob as our perfect guide.

Our first trip to Botswana was a huge success due in the main to the enthusiasm, dedication and knowledge of Rob who guided us for the latter part of our holiday. Rob was as new to the camp we were staying at as we were although this was not evident in the slightest. With the assistance of a local tracker, Rob navigated the bush as if it was home to him. Rob's knowledge of the bush fauna and flora is exceptional and no matter how large or small the sighting was Rob made it the most exciting moment. Our experience was such that on returning home we immediately booked to visit Botswana again this year and of course to be guided by Rob who has advised us which regions and camps to visit. Botswana is a beautiful place and we would recommend a visit to anyone and if you want a really enjoyable learning experience then you need Rob as your guide.

I had the pleasure of staying with Rob in Botswana and I can happily say that it was the experience of a lifetime! I have never been guided by a more genuine, enthusiastic and interesting person. Rob's knowledge of birds is outstanding - able to spot a fish eagle at 2 k!
I was awestruck by the incredible landscape and the amazing wildlife I saw in my time in Botswana and it was so great to have been guided through the experience by someone who really knows what he is talking about and so obviously loves what he does and the place he lives. This is not theme park Africa but is a real and very personal experience. Totally inspiring.......tempted to throw the towel in at work myself and join him out in Africa permanently!

In October 2005 we spent a few days with Rob, our guide, in the Duba concession of the Northern Okavango Delta. It was just unbelievable and unforgettable! Rob is completely passionate, he knows the bush very well, and he wanted to show us everything! We spent some fantastic hours with him such as early mornings with some beautiful birds or some big lions sleeping, late afternoons in the middle of thousands of buffalos in some magic sundown lights, and even late evenings, under the stars, in the middle of millons of fireflies, or very close to the lions mating! And we will never forget the lioness swimming across the river! This was not our first experience of Africa, but we will keep this safari in our minds like a wonderful dream! Thank you!

I am sure you are off in the wilds so I don't know when you will get this, but please know what a wonderful trip my family had! There are really no words to thank you for introducing us to such a wonderful place in the world, so I will just simply say thank you. We are all home again and terribly sluggish. I am sure it is jet-lag but I also think we are at a loss as to how to conduct our lives now that we have experienced something so completely different. I know we are all ready to go back to Africa immediately (mom in particular who you made teary-eyed speaking of the Bushmen). I know the kids were a handful, but they said during the trip and even since we got home that it was the best thing they had ever done. They are also no shrinking violets having travelled extensively even by age six and nine. My sister also difficult to please, was delighted by the trip and what she most enjoyed was the educational aspect for not only herself but her kids. Tally is just beginning to wade through the 6,000 photos. I was looking at some them last night and it is very surreal. They are even more beautiful than I had realized but also no way truly explained what we had seen and experienced.

Our favourite part of the trip was the mobile camp experience we had with you, and I'm not just saying that. We can't imagine our next trip to Africa without a mobile camp being a key part of the itinerary. And you, in particular, were awesome. You might argue that you're just passionate about what you do, and I know that's part of it, but you're also very talented at it too. The game viewing at Chobe was nothing short of mind-blowing! When it came to lions and leopards, however, you were right that there were too many vehicles to really enjoy the experience the way we did with you in Moremi. Glad to hear you're staying busy and guiding in such great places, and what a treat for us to have had such good game viewing with you!
