Visitors can arrive in a variety of ways. The most commonly used point of entry is Maun International Airport in NW Botswana at the edge of the Okavango Delta. There are 1 or 2 flights daily from Johannesburg International using Air Botswana.

You can also fly into Livingstone, visiting Victoria Falls at the start of your safari before entering Botswana, either by air from Livingstone to Kasane, or by vehicle to the Kazangula Ferry crossing between Zambia and Botswana.

Visas
Visitors from Commonwealth countries are not required to obtain a visa for entering Botswana. Botswana has also signed visa abolition agreements with a number of countries, and their nationals are not required to obtain entry visa. A visa is not required for visitors from the USA, Canada, Mexico and all European Countries with a few exceptions. For a complete list of those countries requiring a visa, please click here.
